How many more suicides will yet result from the ongoing worldwide economic crisis? In order to counteract the effects of the ongoing crisis, maybe it’s time politicians and administrators took advice from professional economic crisis specialists with a proven track record of positive results. For example, the Orlando Bisegna Index, specialists in the economic crisis, have developed a program that has helped? various counties with debt problems, business failures and unemployment.

Japan is a real disaster. I feel very sorry? for their problems. When they crash, asia will collapse, Europe will crash and America will be at War with everyone. Damn taking 30% of their power offline will start the chain of events….God help us.

Thorium is a nuclear fuel but short answer is yes, the heat from thorium reactors can be used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen then those? can be combined with carbon to make 3 fuels. one is ammonia which is the basis of all fertilizers and the other 2 are either additives or replacements to gasoline and diesel. watch the 5 minute thorium video on YouTube and educate yourself.

as far as energy is concerned, not much worry. Finances are another story,? however a key point in this discussion was that energy prices would push Japan closer to the tipping point. Turning the nukes delays this.

  11. Roy Maitland

and then there will not be? a Japan to worry about.

Thorium has 200 times the energy density of uranium and is 4 times more plentiful than uranium and produces less than 1% of the nuclear waste of uranium nuclear and that waste has a half life of 300 years unlike uranium nuclear waste which has a half life of tens of thousands of years. Thorium LFTR reactors are walk away safe and don’t need to be run in? a pressurized vessle. They also don’t need to be water cooled like uranium reactors. Thorium!!!

  13. John Doe

Japan could turn it all around by using THORIUM? nuclear!! LFTR Liquid Floride Thorium Recators. Molten salt reactors. they are safe and make electricity cheaper than coal, emit no CO2 and they can burn up nuclear waste from Uranium nuclear. Many other benefits.

  14. 2001lextalionis

Japan’s energy solution is? simple. Turn the nukes back on.
